As Purchasing Manager, you will play a key role in supporting project success by managing procurement activities, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring materials and equipment are available to meet project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Processing purchase orders
- Tracking deliveries
- Coordinating with project managers
- Maintaining inventory
- Supporting warehouse operations
- Solving day-to-day purchasing issues
- Obtain competitive pricing from established vendors and assist with pricing negotiations when needed.
- Maintain positive working relationships with existing suppliers and identify new vendors as needed.
- Participate in required company training programs and stay current with purchasing practices and technology.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- 3–5 years of previous purchasing or procurement experience required; experience in the carpentry or construction industry is a plus.
- Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office and other common business software.
- Working knowledge of the construction industry and related trades.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials commonly used for company construction projects.
