Job Title: ROCKER/FRAMER
Reports To: Superintendent or Foreman
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Cut drywall to proper size for installation.
2. Carry and hang drywall, using screw gun to attach to wall.
3. Cut metal or wood studs to size.
4. Construct and install framed partitions and various types of bulkheads.
5. Layout from plans and blueprints, or familiar with construction standards.
6. Put on corner and ceiling bead.
7. May include cleanup, scrapping, moving material, tools, or equipment.
8. Conform to all safety rules and regulations of the Company and OSHA standards.
9. Erect and dismantle scaffolds.
10. Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars.
11. Arrive at work on time at various locations.
12. Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
13. Conform to all company policies and procedures.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability and willingness to learn company safety policies and applicable OSHA standards.
2. Knowledge and ability to use tools, material and equipment necessary for rocking/framing.
3. Knowledge of basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
4. Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds and stilts.
5. Ability to accurately measure material.
6. Ability to follow directions.
7. Ability and willingness to work in a team environment, with frequent one-on-one and group interaction.
8. Knowledge of layout procedures.
9. Ability to read (blueprints) plans and specifications.
Tools & Equipment Used on Job (including but not limited to):
Screw guns, routers, chop saws, powder actuated tools (Hilti), various hand tools, knives and lasers.
Required Safety Equipment (Personal Protective Equipment):
Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, sturdy leather work boots, GFCI protection, fall protection, and dust masks. Cut Resistant Gloves, 100% when Framing.

1. Must be able to lift/carry scrap/clean-up. Requires vertically/horizontally transferring scrap/clean-up weighing up to (25 lbs.) from (1") to (48"), (20/day), a distance of up to (20 feet) without mechanical assistance.
2. Must be able to lift/carry ladder/scaffolding. Requires vertically/horizontally transferring ladder/scaffolding weighing up to (35 lbs.) from (1") to (30"), up to (4/day), a distance of up to (20 feet) without mechanical assistance.
3. Must be able to lift/carry bundle of steel studs. Requires vertically/horizontally transferring bundle of steel studs. Requires vertically/horizontally transferring bundle of steel studs weighing up to (80 lbs.) from (1") to (30"), up to (4/day), a distance of up to (20 feet) without mechanical assistance.
4. Must be able to lift/carry sheet of drywall. Requires vertically/horizontally transferring sheet of drywall weighing (40 lbs.) from (1") to (48"), up to (1/day), a distance of up to (20 feet) without mechanical assistance.
5. Must be able to lift/carry sheet of drywall. Requires vertically/horizontally transferring sheet of drywall weighing (80 lbs.) from (1") to (48"), up to (1/day), a distance of up to (20 feet) without mechanical assistance.
6. Must be able to lift/carry sheet of drywall. Requires vertically/horizontally transferring sheet of drywall weighing (120 lbs.) from (1") to (48"), up to (1/day), a distance of up to (20 feet) without mechanical assistance.
7. Must be able to push/pull rock cart. Must horizontally transfer rock cart requiring a force up to (100 lbs.), up to (4/day), a distance up to (30 ft.).
8. Must be able to push/pull rock scaffold. Must horizontally transfer scaffold requiring a force up to (50 lbs.), up to (4/day), a distance up to (30 ft.).
9. Must be able to climb ladder/scaffold. Requires climbing stairs up to 40 steps/hr in (8 hrs).
10. Must be able to reach from floor to overhead. Requires repetitive assumption of posture to access a point (80 inches) from the floor up to (400/day).
11. Must be able to stand. Requires tolerance of standing posture up to (4 hr) continuously, for a total of up to (8 hrs) per (8 hrs day).
12. Requires (Near/Far/Depth/Color) vision.
13. Must be able to walk. Requires walking up to (3000.0 ft.), in (1 day).
14. Must be able to lift/carry 50 lb toolbag up and down 3 stairs per 5 min. period.
15. Must be able to safely operate screw gun, rotozip, hammer, gyp knife and tape measure between 15x-50x per hour.
Environmental Factors (working conditions) Requirements:
1. Must tolerate working environment with outside temperatures.
2. Hot in summer, cold in winter.
3. Jobsites contain the presence of materials, tools, equipment, and personnel of other trades.
4. Intermittent loud noises.
5. Dusty and dirty conditions.
6. Uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles.
