Job Description: 

Essential Functions

1. Contract document management; including, but not limited to updating contract drawings and specifications, RFI and change management (i.e. ASIs, Bulletins, RFQs) and submittals.

2. Scanning and uploading documents and emails onto OnBase.

3. Soliciting quotes from Suppliers, Vendors and Subcontractors.

4. Management of job specific subcontractor related documents as applicable.

5. Creating submittals packages; including, but not limited to creating cover sheets, obtaining product data, maintenance information, SDS sheets, LEED letters, and shop drawings.

6. Assisting with forecasting / cost analysis

7. Research and cost analysis of new products and manufacturers

8. Producing cost breakdowns / color coded drawings

9. Assisting with change order takeoff / pricing

10. Drafting and submitting RFI’s

11. Assisting with QA process

12. Assisting with job close-out process

13. Attend and participate in all required company training programs.

14. Conform to all company policies and procedures.

15. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required 

  1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other operating systems.
  2. Ability to read detailed (blueprints) plans and specifications. 
  3. Knowledge of construction industry products and accompanying trades. 

 

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

  • Office Environment - This position operates in a professional office environment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. No PPE is required.
  • Field Environment – This position operates in a construction site and is subject to changing environmental conditions including extreme cold and hot temperatures, wind, and humidity; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions. Required PPE includes: Hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, hard-soled work boots, GFCI protection, fall protection, dust masks, respirators.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Occasional travel is required (up to 25%).
