Construction Superintendent

We are looking for a Construction Superintendent to manage several large, long-term projects in the Austin, TX and surrounding area. 


Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Direct and supervise a trade crew on a consistent basis and frequently direct over 30 employees and supervise multiple trades.
  • Communicate staffing requirements to Operations Department
  • Participate in the pre-planning process in preparation for goals meetings.
  • Ensure the job is properly staffed.
  • Calculate unit costs based on quantity of material installed, hours worked, and labor dollars and take appropriate action to achieve goals.
  • Enter daily time and production.
  • Create job specific QA tasks identified during job start process.
  • Perform routine QA inspections and create corresponding reports.
  • Generate material orders by specific areas.
  • Manage job cost through review and analyzation of job cost monitoring report.
  • Monthly forecasting of job cost.
  • Management of Subcontractors.
  • Ensure that all materials, tools, equipment, subcontractor, and general contractor are scheduled daily and are on site in a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Monitor, support, and enforce all safety rules and regulations of the Company and OSHA standards.
  • Attend all job site meetings whenever scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements for the position include:


  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, particularly in general contracting.
  • 30hr OSHA certification. 
  • Knowledge and ability to supervise the use of all tools, material, equipment, and personnel.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft project for scheduling.
  • Skill in verbal and written communication, including the ability to actively listen and express oneself clearly. Bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and lifts.
  • Ability to read detailed (blueprint) plans and specifications and comply with building codes.
  • Schedule and meet with local code inspectors for approvals.
