CDM Service Group is a centralized office that provides our Construction, Distribution, and Manufacturing companies with various administrative functions, services, and support for their businesses.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Reconcile all corporate cash accounts.
- Daily cash requirement reporting.
- Monthly closing of General Ledger and income statement analysis.
- Balance Sheet reconciliation.
- General Ledger journal entry preparation, entry and filing.
- Prepare month-end financial reports and key indicators.
- Assist with year-end financial audit.
- Develop and support internal database applications.
- Prepare and file abandoned property and personal property tax returns for all units.
- Assist in special project testing and implementation as required.
- Monthly fixed asset and depreciation processing.
- Assist with state Sales and Use Tax filings.
- Assist operating units with annual budget process.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Has working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, including financial reporting, balance sheets, accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting (or related field).
- 2-5 years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience building formulas in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
