Responsibilities:
- Assist employees with interpretation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Partner with management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, and government regulations.
- Work collaboratively with employees and managers to coach on performance-related matters and documented HR policies and procedures.
- Develop, recommend, and implement HR policies and administrative procedures in collaboration with the Director of HR and senior leadership.
- Assist all units with investigation, evaluation, compliance and resolution of employment issues related to federal and state DOL, EEOC, ADA, ADAA, NLRA and other local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Execute and maintain company Affirmative Action Program and related policy including facilitating internal auditing, external compliance reporting, job requisitions.
- Manage job descriptions, including the creation of new documents and revisions to existing descriptions to ensure compliance with regulations, company policies and culture expectations.
- Execute and maintain the electronic I-9 and E-Verify process for the overall business. Conduct internal audits and provide coaching to HR business partners to ensure compliance.
- Manage overall FMLA program including tracking companywide compliance to federal and state paid and unpaid leave programs.
- Manage the on-boarding of new CDM Service Group employees.
- Prepare and manage annual submissions of EEO-1/VETS 4212 and other required reporting.
- Maintain and communicate key process indicator metrics for HR by maintaining dashboards and related reports.
- Researching market trends and benchmark industry best practices.
- Analyze laws and regulations to update or propose new employment related policies and procedures to ensure company compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study. A combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered.
- PHR or SPHR certification desired but not required.
- 5 years’ experience in human resources employee relations and training in federal, state and local HR policy in a construction or manufacturing environment.
- 3 years’ experience working with federal contracting companies and related HR compliance activities.
- Demonstrated competency in Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and other operating software.
