Responsibilities Include:

  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate assigned direct reports. 

  • Conduct employee 1on1’s, and performance reviews. 

  • Develop an annual department and individual Plans of Action with goals consistent with Unit Plan of Action, company strategic initiatives and profit objectives.  

  • Develop department training programs for personnel.  

  • Cross-train in all department tasks.  

  • Cascade effective and proficient communications to supervisors, co-workers, and direct reports. 

  • Deliver project management, strategic planning, and implementation support for key organizational initiatives and special projects.  

  • Manage strategic planning and execution of multiple projects and teams. 

  • Using support and input of staff members and constantly analyzing the local market, recommend short-term objectives and long-range goals to the Unit Manager.  

  • Maintain an awareness of the Company’s image among customers by taking action to correct problems uncovered.  

  • Participate in the bidding and negotiating process to help ensure the procurement of a contract.    

  • Understand financial position, profitability, cash flow, and capital structure to ensure stability and achieve financial objectives.  

  • Manage the overall project management department, providing leadership, coordination, and management of Project Management processes and functions. 

  • Supervise senior project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects that encompass management of all aspects of projects in concept development, initiation, and planning phases including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer satisfaction. 

  • Ensure accountability of senior project managers for established milestones and deliverables. 

  • Monitor project budgets and resource allocations. 

  • Coordinate forecast schedules and management of POC operations within the department. 

  • Oversee yearly wages, T&M wage breakdown, change order breakdown, job specific labor rates, etc., for consistency. 

  • Keep category codes updated in Penta as wages change. 

  • Attend Hand-off, Pre-Planning, PEP, 3M, etc. meetings to assist in “mining for gold” efforts. 

 
  • Assist in the preparation of annual operating and fixed assets budgets to be submitted to the President for approval. 

  • Weekly senior pm huddles to check in on progress and update of any company concerns/changes. 

  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.  

  • Participate in Oversight Committees.  

  • Conform to all company policies and procedures. 

  • Display position & company core competencies.

We are looking for the following:

  •  5 plus years experience commercial metal framing and drywall construction experience in Project Management.
  • Knowledge of Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and operating software.  

  • Ability to read detailed (blueprints) plans and specifications.  

  • Knowledge of construction industry products and accompanying trades.  

  • Experience performing all essential functions of the Sr. Project Manager position. 

  • Experience with Construction Estimating. 

  • Knowledge and proficiency with E&K Scopes of work and Project Management systems. 

  • Ability to manage multiple, large projects and project teams. 

  • Experience building and maintaining strong customer relationships. 

  • Salary reflective on skills and experience: $150,000 - $215,000
