Brady West SoCal is seeking a Safety Director. The Safety Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace and any other duties assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Preplan startup jobsite safety assessments.
- Perform written jobsite safety inspections and policy reviews and take immediate corrective action as assigned.
- Give reprimands to employees who are not following the safety guidelines.
- Responsible for investigation of all accidents and immediate filing of reports in accordance with the Brady West Safety Systems.
- Monitor the medical treatment and status of injured employees until they are fully released and/or the claim is closed.
- Choose, monitor, and evaluate company medical facilities.
- Provides required safety orientation for newly hired employees.
- Provides required safety training for all employees on an ongoing basis.
- Attend OSHA inspections, informal conferences, and DOT conferences and compliance reviews as assigned.
- Coordinate safety awards program.
- Coordinate the safety awards program.
- Maintain safety supplies.
- Act as EEO officer if assigned.
- Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
- Conform to all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of full-time construction safety management experience
- Possess current OSHA 30-hour training in Construction Health & Safety within the past 2 years.
- Possess current qualifications in First Aid, Adult CPR and AED.
- Knowledge of CAL/OSHA Construction Safety Orders.
- Knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction and/or 1910 General Industry Standards as they pertain to our business.
- Ability to successfully complete OSHA 500 and 501 Trainer Course.
- Knowledge of construction industry.
- Ability to learn general Department of Transportation standards.
- Knowledge of Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and operating software.
- Knowledge of basic accident and injury investigation techniques.
Salary based on experience and qualifications: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
